Monday Musings: Parental choices can be hard

Sometimes it's hard to make the choices for your family as a parent, because you know that every choice you make can have a permanent outcome that you can't undo. Big things like who to allow in your families life can lead to sadness and broken hearts both from losing someone or someone hurting your family. Small things like a hair cut can lead to embarrassment and bullying at school, or a change in their personal style.
Every decision needs to be weighed and measured before being made but often we aren't given the proper time we need to make the choice. So many choices have to be made on the fly because life never stops and you just pray that you've weighed it all out enough in the small amount of time that you have to not conk it all up too terribly.
We try our best as parents, we really do. We will never be perfect, never claim to be, but we try our best to do what's best for our family. People will always end up upset by some of the choices we make, and may even whole heartedly disagree with some of them. However they are out choices, made from the information at hand, with nothing but the best of intentions on how to create the best possible future for our family.
We are doing our best, honest.
