Wednesdays Are Uplifting: Sometimes it takes breaking....

Sometimes things need to break in order to be better. Sometimes it takes things falling apart for us to put them back together in a better configuration. Every time someone comes out with a new invention to find a better way to do something that's already being done, it's because the only way failed and a new and better way was created. It's the same with life. It takes failure and breaking for us to realize how much we need to readjust and do better. It takes things breaking down completely for us to see that we were going about it all wrong all along.
Just because something is broken, doesn't mean something better can come from it. Our family was formed out of broken things and we are making things better and stronger, because we know what broke us before, and we are actively working to not let that happen again.
Life can get better, we are proving that one day at a time.

Wednesdays Are Uplifting: Families support each other

As a family it is our job to make sure that we help each other out. Regardless of what's going on in life, what struggles we are going through, what frustrations exist, we always strive to take care of each other as best we can. When all else in life fails, we should always be able to rely on each other. Now that's not to say that you have unlimited chances, if you make your mistakes, you must deal with your mistakes. Just know that we are always here to help you make things better, we will just not help you dive deeper into your mistakes.
Our family supports each other to become the best versions of ourselves that we can be.

Wednesdays Are Uplifting: It's who's in your life, not what's in your life

It's often hard to not get lost in the rat race of trying to have nice stuff . However getting lost in that race costs money and resources that can be better spent elsewhere. It's something that this Brazier Family is learning and still struggles with. We are much better at it though, and learning to be content with what we have in our lives, so we can grow with who we have in our lives. We love our family, our chosen family, both blood and non. We have chosen who we want around us, and are growing those relationships as best can.

Here's to family, chosen family, the ones we love and protect and keep around us.

Wednesdays Are Uplifting: You're Awesome, Yes You

When it comes to the Brazier family, we are our own worst critics. The entire world could tell us that we are awesome at something, or just awesome in general, and about 85% of the time we are thinking to ourselves that you obviously don't know us that well. We are listing off to ourselves all the ways that we aren't awesome, and are in fact the opposite of awesome.

We are working on it, #BrazierParents first, and then trying to use what we learn to help our children to be better at it as well. We don't want to be arrogant or big headed, but we do need to learn to appreciate ourselves better and accept compliments easier.

So since we are working on it as a family, we are now challenging you to work on it yourself. You are awesome, because we said so.
