Being a parent is the most rewarding yet stressful yet satisfying yet annoying yet incredible thing I have ever done in my life. There are days I wish I could throw in the towel and just give up, and there are days where I think I should write a book on how to properly parent. There are times where I am forgetful and mess everything up, and there are days where I am ahead of the game and everything goes smoothly.
Being a parent is a roller coaster, a cruise ship, a drag racer, and a lazy river all rolled into one. The highest highs and the lowest lows are sometimes far apart and sometimes within hours of each other. It's an all inclusive breeze until a storm hits and then it's a terrifying gut wrenching ride to shore. It's sitting and waiting for something to happen and then racing to the end of the thing praying you're doing it right with no way of knowing till it's done. It's a laid back ride on the water where you are along for the ride of the current but you pray that no one pees ahead of you and there's no such thing as rapids.
Being a parent can be compared to so many good and so many bad things. The crazy thing is that it is all of those things at the same time and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
